Soft Washing

Soft washing is the use of water-based, biodegradable chemicals to break down dirt and grime, remove bug nests and webs, kill mold, mildew, algae and bacteria – leaving the surface clean and sanitized.

Soft washing uses only one-third of the water that pressure or power washing does, lasts 4 - 6 times longer, and doesn't deteriorate or harm the surface like pressure washing frequently can. Soft washing also does so much more than power washing because it does more than simply clean your roof. The products used in the SoftWash System don't just tidy; they penetrate, sanitize, and eradicate the root of the issue.

Treating your roof with soft washing is more like insect control – the combination of safe, eco-friendly chemicals ensure that the bacteria that cause buildup are not just partially swept away, but removed completely.

Roof Cleaning and More

Soft washing can be performed on a multitude of surfaces where algae and bacteria grow. The same bacterium that causes black streaks on roofs can also grow on:

  • Concrete
  • Brick
  • Tile
  • Wood
  • Vinyl Siding
  • Aluminum
  • And more…

If you're trying to find a method to get rid of what's cultivating on the surface of your roof, deck or fence, break the cycle of bothersome pressure washing and use a service that can eradicate the issue 100%.

Environmentally Friendly, Biodegradable Chemicals in SoftWash

Oftentimes, individuals hesitate when they hear the word "chemicals," but it's actually not such a dirty word. In truth, everything is a chemical, even water (hydrogen dioxide).

The chemicals used in soft washing help break down pollutants and infestations, so they can be easily washed away. They do all the work without all the pressure. Our chemicals are water based, ship non-hazardous, and are biodegradable, meaning they break down into carbon and water within twenty (20) days of their introduction into the environment; leaving no contaminants behind.

4 Main Reasons to Softwash

There are plenty of reasons to pick soft washing over pressure or power washing, but here are our biggest reasons:

  1. Alternative to pressure washing
Power washing creates erosion and strips away materials that might have been loosened up by decomposition or aging. It may be suitable for some projects and not others.

  2. It actually treats the infestation
Your house isn't only dirty – it's infected. Regular pressure washing merely gets rid of the outer layer of this biomass and doesn't resolve the root of the problem, leaving your surface susceptible again not long after power washing is finished.

  3. No damage from pressure
Improperly trained or inexperienced power washers can cause serious damage to a roof or other surfaces, particularly if it's older to start with.

  4. More eco-friendly cleaning option
Pressure washers use from 3 to 8 gallons of water per minute (gpm). In one hour of cleaning a pressure washer can utilize from 180 gallons upwards to 480 gallons of water. Conversely, soft washing only uses approximately 60 gallons of cleaning solution, which consists of about 40 gallons of water.

The cleaning solution is so powerful that it lasts 4 – 6 times longer than power washing, making it more viable for the environment and your wallet.
